 |
Pete is a veteran in the technology business and
a proven leader in building successful companies. In addition to
his role with Blacksmith Applications, Pete serves as chairman of
CBE Technologies, Inc. in Boston, a Director of Brand Muscle in Cleveland and is
the current chairman of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship
(NFTE, New England). The NFTE organization is committed to teaching entrepreneurship
to under-privileged young people so they can become productive members
of society by improving their academic, business, and technical
skills.
In 2000, he co-founded Reach, the Boston based venture fund that provided
Blacksmith Applications’ seed funding. Prior to Reach, Pete
founded Charter Systems, an enterprise IT network service provider.
In 1997, he oversaw the merger of Charter with
The BISYS Group (NYSE: BSG), where he served as President through
January, 1999. Pete has served in an advisory capacity for Microsoft,
Novell, and Cisco Systems. |
